Yoga group
We meet every Wednesday at 10.15 til 12.15 at
The therapy room,
Lifehouse
Brunswick Dock
Liverpool
L3 4BL.
The class is 2 hours long so you can ‘unravel the knots’ in a relaxed and fun way and time to yourself every week!! Try not to eat a heavy meal for 2 hours before the class.
The class gives people plenty of time to achieve the postures and to enjoy the relaxation. Yoga classes should always contain time for relaxation between postures, known as counterbalances. At the end of a Yoga session there is usually a time for longer relaxation. At Flex-Ability the technique is called rotation of the consciousness.
Please contact the Physiotherapist, on 0151 296 7405 to arrange an induction. At the induction the Physiotherapist will arrange with you what you will need to make the class as safe and enjoyable in a confidential manner.
In the induction you will go through postures that are easy and safe for you to do, a quick health check, and introduce you to the equipment available. This can be written down and you can have a copy of this to take home with you, this will make sure the class is tailored to your needs in a bespoke and private way.
The class is designed to be enjoyable and safe and for people to be able to ‘stretch out the knots’ in a safe environment. The induction is designed to make sure all the risks are minimized.

Everyone working in the group are qualified. The volunteer is trained by the Liverpool Community Health Volunteer, The Yoga Tutor is a member of the British Wheel of Yoga and the Physiotherapist a member of the Health Practitioners Council (H.P.C) and the Chartered Society Of Physiotherapy.
Local organisations such as the Disabled Living Centre in Liverpool helped us to find equipment to help the class run smoothly. We now have equipment available provided by Mangar International to help people to get on and off the floor safely so they can make the best use of the well-earned relaxation session at the end of the class.

There is no pressure, you do what is within your capabilities.
